29 October 2007 - Wapiti Ridge

9 members of BSSAR responded 3.5 miles up the Wapiti Ridge Trail for an elk hunter injured in a horse accident. BSSAR/Heli team members located and assessed the patient. The patient was evacuated by a Gallatin County SAR contract helicopter using a short-haul technique and a BSSAR/Heli team litter attendant. The patient was turned over to an EMS unit from Big Sky Fire. A Gallatin County Sheriff Deputy was the Incident Commander. This operation lasted about 5 hours.

11 October 2007 - Regular Monthly Training

This course consisted of a recertification in Healthcare Provider level CPR. The class lasted about 2 hours.
